Based on the following clauses, the Japan Society of Microgravity Application endeavors to protect, respect and appropriately manage personal information submitted by members and other parties concerned, which can be used to identify specific individuals.
Collecting Personal Information
The Japan Society of Microgravity Application collects specific information within the scope necessary to identify specific individuals in order to provide services in accordance with the purposes of the Society. When collecting the personal information, we specify its purpose and the provision of information (registration) is, as a matter of principle, based on the volition of the person providing the information.
Using Personal Information
The Japan Society of Microgravity Application uses the personal information it collects within the necessary scope for achieving its purposes. However, should any of the following apply, we may use or provide the information for other purposes than those stated at the time of collection.
- When pursuant to provisions in laws and ordinances
- When the consent of the person submitting the information has been obtained
- When entrusting an external contractor with handling a part of or all personal data within the scope necessary to achieve the business purposes of the Japan Society of Microgravity Application (for example, we may entrust an outsourcing company with the necessary information for mailing the member journal or invoicing for membership fees)
- In addition, when the General Meeting or the Board of Directors of the Japan Society of Microgravity Application recognizes legitimate reason.
